At the end of 2019, in accordance with the provisions of the "Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Award Regulations," and following review by the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Award Evaluation Committee, approval by the Provincial Science and Technology Award Committee, and verification by the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the project "Key Technology Development and Industrialization of High-Efficiency Diesel Engine Aftertreatment Systems," jointly submitted by Weichai Power Co., Ltd., Shandong University, Wuxi Weifu Environmental Protection Catalyst Co., Ltd., and Weichai Power Air Purification Technology Co., Ltd., was awarded the First Prize of the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.
Wuxi Weifu Environmental Protection Catalyst Co., Ltd. was responsible for the research and development of aftertreatment catalysts. The company developed DOC coating technology with outstanding low-temperature activity and excellent NO oxidation performance, achieving precious metal reduction through zone-controlled coating with Pt/Pd bimetallic ratios. It optimized the zone-controlled coating process for CDPF, enabling mass production of CDPF with low backpressure and high filtration efficiency. The company also developed rapid zeolite material preparation and efficient copper loading technologies, with catalyst low-temperature activity and ammonia storage performance surpassing international peer levels. The aftertreatment products developed in this project, when paired with diesel engines, have passed both Euro VI emission certification and China's National VI-B emission certification.
