On September 13, 2021, the 2021 "Knowledge Competition of the Manufacturing System to Celebrate the Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China," organized by the Manufacturing Department, was held in the First Training Room of Weifu Environmental Protection. This event aimed to promote knowledge of quality, production, process, logistics, and equipment, while providing an opportunity for learning and exchange among various departments.
Leaders from all departments of the company's manufacturing system attended the competition. In his opening speech, Minister Hao of the Manufacturing Department stated that in 2021, against the backdrop of the normalization of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company achieved better results through active measures such as performance improvement, technological innovation, organizational optimization, and talent development. From January to August, total production reached 5.09 million units, a 27% increase compared to the same period in 2020; total volume reached 6.38 million liters, an 8.5% year-on-year increase; manufacturing costs decreased by 13% compared to the same period last year; and the product scrap rate dropped from 314 ppm to 243 ppm. These achievements would not have been possible without the correct guidance of the leadership, the close collaboration of all departments, and the hard work of every colleague. At the same time, looking ahead, we should have higher expectations for the future, and the Manufacturing Department will continue to work deeply with all partner departments to achieve even greater success.
The competition featured seven teams composed of four departments: Quality, Logistics, Equipment, Process, and Production. The competition consisted of four rounds: "All-Hands Mobilization," "Who Dares to Compete," "You Never Know Until You Try," and "Last One Standing." These rounds not only tested the basic knowledge of employees but also enhanced their overall competencies. All contestants were well-prepared, full of energy, and highly competitive, especially during the fourth round of quick-response questions, which brought the event to a thrilling climax. The excellent performances of the employees drew continuous applause from the audience and greatly motivated everyone's participation. The award ceremony marked the high point of the event, and the activity came to a successful close amid applause from all attendees. This competition fully demonstrated the spirited and determined character of the manufacturing team at Weifu Environmental Protection and provided a strong boost for the company to achieve even higher goals.
